We all know that Christmas is traditionally a time for giving and being charitable, and at PMP it’s also our tradition to support a local charity, especially one we have a history of working with. ‘It’s good to ‘give back’ and we’re pleased we could support Birmingham City Church (BCC) this year, an organisation who we’re currently working with, and one which is just a stone’s throw from our office.
Birmingham City Church also runs Birmingham Central Foodbank, which opened in 2011. Since that point, they’ve fed nearly 20,000 people, and it’s one of the largest and busiest foodbanks in the city, with many people relying regularly on their food packages.
The foodbank is completely reliant on donations from members, local businesses, and the public, so it was our pleasure to support the church again this year. We wanted to do something a little bit extra special so staff at PMP all donated a present each, which we delivered last week.
During the run-up to Christmas, Birmingham City Church will be giving the presents out to families with children attending the food bank and children’s centre, children who otherwise wouldn’t have much for Christmas. Although a small gesture, we hope it makes a difference to a child’s Christmas, and we look forward to working with the church in the future.
Thanks for reading.
Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
