Role: Quantity Surveyor, CDM Coordinator/Principal Designer and Bank Surveyor

Sector: Residential

PMP Consultants has worked closely with Javelin Block over a number of years as Quantity Surveyor, CDM Coordinator/Principal Designer and Bank Surveyor to deliver several schemes based on the conversion of commercial and/or industrial buildings, into residential schemes:

  • Rifle Maker Building – new fourth-storey extension on existing three storey building to create 6Nr apartments on upper floors, served by new lift; commercial unit and private car parking to ground floor (value £1.8m)
  • Viceroy House – conversion of workshop buildings into 4Nr loft style apartments (value £1.2m)
  • Derwent Works, Henrietta Street – three-storey side and rear extension to Victorian building, creating into a ground floor gym and 4Nr two-bedroom loft-style apartments (value £1.1m)
  • Comet Works, Princip Street – partial external and internal demolition, extensions and refurbishment of existing Grade 2 Listed Building and erection of new building in rear courtyard to provide 20Nr one and two bed apartments (value £2.5m)

Each scheme involves a sympathetic conversion of existing buildings, retaining and exposing many of the features that make them unique, to create high quality contemporary apartments.
