PMP had the pleasure to attend the official opening of the Rock UK Summit Centre, which took place on Friday 22 February, by none other than the Prince of Wales! Located around 23 miles north of Cardiff, just south of Merthyr Tydfil, Summit Centre is only a short 25-minute drive from the M4 motorway and is kitted out with tons of brand new equipment for us all to get our hands on! The centre holds around 23 instructed activities from climbing and bouldering, to bush-craft and archery, so there’s always a chance to find your inner robin hood!

The project itself involved the refurbishment of the existing block which includes the entrance to the building and most of the old climbing and sporting facilities. New accommodation blocks, along with a new cafeteria and conference area have also been created to promote longer visits from schools and families. And of course we couldn’t have done this without the help of Provelio, Holder Matthias Architects, and Henstaff Construction Ltd.
