PMP is proud to announce that the redevelopment of the former Equipoint building is now complete!

Acting as Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers for the conversion of the landmark 1960s office building, the scheme has created 247 luxury-finish apartments over 12 floors.

The £17.5 million project involved the strip out and steel-frame rooftop extension to create an additional floor with open-plan living spaces. A new lift has been installed to improve accessibility to all floors and on-site parking is also included for residents.

Known for its unique curvature, Equipoint has been described by many as one of Birmingham’s most unique designs. The building is equidistant from the city centre, NEC and Birmingham Airport; a prime location for city-based professionals traveling to and from Birmingham. The development also lies near the mainline stop for the high-speed rail connection that will link directly to the new HS2 station. Equipoint, therefore has a variety of connections to a wide range of transport links throughout the UK and further.

All efforts were made by the project team to ensure the refurbishment was as carbon-neutral as possible, utilising thermal efficient windows that diffuse noise from the busy streets below. This project like many others in the city is helping Birmingham develop a more sustainable way of living.
