University of Birmingham – Campus Catering Refurbishments

This summer, we provided quantity surveying and project management services for catering upgrades at the University of Birmingham (UoB).

As part of it’s commitment to upholding excellent facilities and services for its staff and students, the University of Birmingham identified, and prioritised five catering outlets for urgent improvements across campus; The Winterbourne House and Gardens; Murray Learning Centre; University Centre; The Main Library; Bramall Music Building

The project aimed to infuse each space with distinct personality and character, significantly enhancing the former offerings. A key objective for the University of Birmingham was to empower its consumers to make sustainable choices by ensuring every catering outlet provided fresh food and drink, alongside a wide array of vegan and vegetarian options. Designs were tailored to the unique demands of each location: from the speed and efficiency of a ‘grab-and-go’ model at the Learning Centre to a more relaxed experience at Winterbourne House and Gardens.

The work took around five weeks to complete in total. Take a look at the photos we snapped of the project below.
